"My house had been 'for sale' with my local estate agent for 18 months with very little or no interest. Due to a messy divorce I wanted to put behind me I decided to try and sell the house though an auction after getting some insulting offers from property buying companies.
On the day bidding didn't come anywhere near my reserve price. In fact the discount was over 30%, very similar to the cash buying property companies offers. I was at my wits end when i saw an article on Swift in the paper about their way of getting a quick sale.
